The NexGen Mint initiative offers the next generation of museum goers a new “place and space” to gather, exchange ideas, interact, and learn within the museum setting. The program is designed for high school participants ages 14 to 18. We as a brand are creative, empowering, fun, interactive, open,
and inviting!
and inviting!
RESEARCH
I took inspiration from HannaH and Hailey’s signage for New Days New Works, along with the background knowledge and branding style from the original Mint logo to establish the following system of design elements to define NexGen’s brand visually and reinforce its values. They created a door icon to set the precedence for opening the door to new beginnings. However, NexGen furthers the design, creating a cohesive brand for the next steps that lie ahead.
First, I searched for people using the hashtag #NexGenMint on Instagram and came across these photographs. They represent events that highlight community, education, engagement, learning, and identity. Additionally, the wide range of workshops exemplify the interactive atmosphere that allow for endless creativity.
